Emergency Preparedness Week Contest

Each year, Albertans set aside one week to learn about and discuss the importance of emergency preparedness. In 2024, Emergency Preparedness Week runs from May 5 to 11 and the theme is Be Prepared, Know Your Risks

This year, the Town of Didsbury is inviting residents to participate—show us your plan! Or your escape route...Or your 72-hour emergency kit...Or your insight into risks to be aware of...Or your other great ideas about being prepared in case of emergency.

Send us a poster (for children 10 years and under) or a video (all ages) for us to share with your fellow Didsburians on our website and social media channels. There are some great prizes up for grabs (see below).

If you don't want to be that creative but still want to get involved for a chance at a prize, simply follow us on Facebook and Instagram and, during the week of May 5 - 11, like and share (and comment on!) our Emergency Preparedness Week posts. Each day, we will enter all likes with shares into a draw for an emergency car kit.
