Temporary Water Service Interruption Scheduled for July 16, 2026

Please be advised that water services may be temporarily unavailable on Thursday, July 16, 2026 beginning at 5 a.m. Though the exact time is still uncertain, parts of town will experience low to no water pressure for an expected 4 - 7 hours from the start of the job.
The interruption will be similar to what we see when the power goes out at the Butte (which happens from time to time during wind storms). As the system is gravity fed, homes that sit higher than the Butte may experience almost no water pressure, while those further down may not notice a difference at all, and others will see some loss of pressure.
This interruption is required to perform system upgrades on the Town's water distribution network.
What to do before the service interruption:
- Store water: We recommend storing an adequate supply of water for drinking, cooking, and sanitation needs. - Turn off appliances: Ensure all taps, washing machines, and dishwashers are turned off and fully closed.
