Municipal Election – Monday, October 18, 2021
The Local Authorities Election Act specifies that a general election shall be held every 4th year.
The General Municipal Election will be held in the Town of Didsbury on Monday, October 18, 2021, at the Didsbury Memorial Complex located at 1702 21 Avenue. This election will fill seven (7) seats; one for Mayor and six Councillors.

REFERENDUM QUESTIONS FOR THE PROVINCE
Albertans are being asked two questions in the referendum vote on October 18, 2021. Both referendum questions allow for a ‘yes’ vote or a ‘no’ vote and are binding on the provincial government, based on the majority of votes cast.

The Returning Officer or designate will receive nominations of candidates for the local jurisdiction election during regular business hours of 8:30 am. and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, from January 4, 2021, to September 17, 2021, and on Monday, September 20, 2021, from 8:30 am. until 12:00 pm, noon, at the Town of Didsbury Municipal building located 1606 – 14 Street, Didsbury.
The nomination fee is $100.00 which is payable by cash, cheque, or money order.
Appointments are required to hand in Nomination Papers prior to Nomination Day on September 20, 2021.

|Elector Assistance at Home Vote||Wednesday, October 6, 2021, and Thursday, October 7, 2021, For those who need assistance they can partake in a Municipal Election Elector Assistance at Home Vote to be held by appointment only, with the deadline to book appointments on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.
